The country implemented a new Criminal Code (Kitab Undang-undang Hukum Pidana, KUHP) and a new Criminal Procedure Code (Kitab Undang-undang Hukum Acara Pidana, KUHAP), which changed what constitutes a crime and how crimes are identified, investigated, and punished.
